Program Overview:

Human Resources (HR) at Wells Fargo is a centralized function that is aligned with and supports the company, lines of business, and enterprise functions. The HR organization is responsible for building and implementing strategies, programs, and infrastructure to identify, develop, and retain top talent for the company. To achieve these goals, the organization spans across a wide range of areas, including but not limited to: Total Rewards, Governance & Workforce Relations, HR Operations & Service Delivery, Talent Acquisition, Transformation & Product, and Talent Management & Learning.

As part of our commitment to developing the leaders of tomorrow, we are proud to offer the Human Resources Internship Program. You will begin your ten-week experience with a robust induction week orientation and training, and then launch into your internship assignment. During your time as an HR Intern, you will have on-the-job experiences, program management support, access to senior leaders and mentorship, and ongoing learning opportunities to help guide your career path. This program is designed to provide undergraduate students with a blend of business and professional development training opportunities that incorporate real-world experiences and prepare you for a career in HR at Wells Fargo. #earlycareers

To ensure a well-rounded experience, the Human Resources Internship Program will consist of experiences anchored in the following competencies with an emphasis on critical thinking and technical skill development:

  • Advisory

  • Data & Analytics

  • Execution & Delivery

  • Process Management

  • Risk & Compliance

  • Solutions Design & Development

In this role you will:

  • Perform a variety of job assignments to develop key skills and gain a working knowledge of the organization

  • Attend classroom training, self-study assignments, workshops, networking, and other events

  • Participate in or provide support for low complexity initiatives within functional area

  • Review basic or tactical issues, policies or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained related to low-risk tasks and deliverables with narrower impact

  • Receive direction from supervisor and exercise judgment within defined parameters while developing understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Provide information to managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders, including internal or external customers if applicable

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 – June 2028 in the fields of Human Resources Management, Business, Finance, Organizational Psychology, or Analytics. All majors are welcome

  • Strong critical thinking and data analysis skills, with the ability to generate insights, learn quickly, adapt to change, and support innovative HR solutions

  • Familiarity with AI‑powered productivity tools (such as chat‑based assistants and built‑in features like Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday tasks including research, organizing information, and creating presentations with a strong interest in learning and using these tools responsibly

  • Ability to execute with urgency, support business reporting, project coordination, and solution delivery, and contribute to operational excellence with an enterprise mindset

  • Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills, with the ability to foster an inclusive environment and actively seek and apply feedback to support effective HR collaboration

  • Strong business acumen and service orientation, with the ability to understand HR needs and support solutions that deliver a positive employee and business impact

  • Ability to act with integrity, apply HR policies and compliance requirements, and support effective risk controls to maintain well-managed and compliant HR operations

Program Locations: Charlotte, NC

Pay Range: $33.66 - $33.66/hr.

Program duration: 10 weeks; June – August 2027; High‑performing interns may be considered for a full‑time offer into the HR Development Program upon graduation
