Here’s the Gist:

The purpose of the Ops Engineer is to provide support to the operations team. The focus is primarily on continuous improvement of the manufacturing process. Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm with the need to flex your schedule 10% of the time to interact with night shifts.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Becoming an expert in the fab logistics process flow implementing lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

  • Ownership of Operational Excellence projects collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production staff, and quality control, to optimize manufacturing processes.

  • Create and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Analyze production data and generate reports for management review, assessing key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Train production staff on new processes, tools, and technologies.

  • Provide ongoing support to resolve technical issues on the manufacturing floor.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in the use of computer applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work both autonomously as well as part of a team, taking ownership of tasks and projects.

  • Proactively explore new ideas and adapt quickly to change. Ability to develop/write standards and deploy/train personnel.

  • Ability to flex hours to interact with multiple shifts 15% of the time.

The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.

Compensation Range:

$67,000.00 - $92,000.00
