Here’s the Gist:

The Facilities Site Support Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, flooring, snow removal, general landscaping, trash management, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.). Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned.

The Day-to-Day :

• Work independently and in a team environment.
• Maintain exterior property, including some snow removal at entryways, loading docks, etc.
• Repair of plaster and drywall partitions.
• Installation of wall-mounted equipment, art, white boards.
• Perform the set-up of events, to include chairs, tables, staging, microphones and as necessary, temporary electrical service.
• Assist all facilities technicians as needed in a support role.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements) :

• High school education or equivalent.

• 5 years of working experience in facilities maintenance.

• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills in customer relations.

• Service oriented.

• Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

• Ability to climb ladders.

• Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require.

• Ability to work in extreme temperatures.

• Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection.

• Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints, acids, gases, refrigerants.

• May have to operate a forklift, scissors lift, powered pallet jack.

• Ability to work overtime hours
