Project Manager II
Location: Hybrid – Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN (2–3 days onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (5–10 hours OT during peak phases)

Position Overview
The Project Manager II is responsible for leading complex, enterprise-level technology initiatives through the full project lifecycle. This role oversees scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk, and stakeholder alignment to ensure successful delivery of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software deployments, system integrations, and modernization initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience managing large cross-functional teams, financial oversight (forecasting, variance analysis, accruals), governance frameworks, and enterprise software implementations in complex environments.

Position Overview
The Project Manager II is responsible for leading complex, enterprise-level technology initiatives through the full project lifecycle. This role oversees scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk, and stakeholder alignment to ensure successful delivery of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software deployments, system integrations, and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle delivery of enterprise IT projects using Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies
- Manage COTS and SaaS deployments including ERP, CRM, collaboration tools, and enterprise platforms
- Oversee integration of new systems with legacy applications and infrastructure
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, RAID logs, budgets, and resource allocations
- Perform financial management including forecasting, accrual tracking, actuals vs. variance analysis, and budget reporting
- Establish and manage governance structures, steering committees, and executive reporting forums
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across IT, Finance, Operations, Security, Infrastructure, and Business units
- Lead vendor management activities including RFP participation, contract oversight, and performance tracking
- Develop executive-level status reporting, dashboards, and visual summaries for senior stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, regulatory standards, and change management protocols
- Drive risk mitigation strategies and issue resolution across multiple workstreams
- Leading project status meetings and working sessions
- Coordinating developers, business analysts, infrastructure teams, and testers
- Managing documentation in tools such as Microsoft Project, ServiceNow/SPM, Confluence, Jira
- Reviewing financials and updating forecasts
- Preparing executive-ready summaries and dashboards
- Addressing risks, issues, and stakeholder concerns
- Collaborating with sponsors and department leadership to ensure strategic alignment
- Supports project teams of approximately 10–15 members
- Works closely with Project Sponsors, Program Managers, Department Heads, Finance partners, and executive stakeholders
- Highly collaborative, team-oriented culture with strong emphasis on communication and transparency
- Primarily supports internal business customers
- 5–7 years direct Project Management experience
- 10+ years total experience in PM or PM-adjacent roles (PMO, BA, Test Lead, Program Support, etc.) preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise COTS deployments and legacy system integrations
- Strong financial management background (forecasting, accruals, variance analysis, budgeting)
- Experience managing multimillion-dollar project budgets
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as:
- Microsoft Project
- Office 365
- ServiceNow / SPM / PPM tools
- Confluence
- Jira
- SharePoint
- Power BI (preferred)
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across IT and business domains
- Strong governance and stakeholder reporting experience
- Utility or energy industry experience
- ERP implementations (SAP, Oracle, Yardi, RealPage or similar)
- CRM implementations (Salesforce, Oracle, etc.)
- Contact center or unified communications platform implementations
- Finance modernization initiatives
- Vendor sourcing and RFP management
- Accrual-based accounting knowledge
- PMO build-out or governance framework implementation
- PMP preferred (not required)
- Agile certifications (CSPO, SAFe, Scrum Master, ICAgile) a plus
- Change Management certifications (Prosci) a plus
