Job Title: Project Scheduler I (Material Coordinator / Scheduler I)
Location: Denver (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 remote)
Travel: Occasional (approximately 1 week per month, varies by project)

Position Summary
The Project Scheduler I supports the planning, coordination, and execution of capital and maintenance projects across a portfolio of energy generation facilities, including gas, coal, wind, solar, and hydro. This role is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring alignment between project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
This position partners closely with Project Managers, engineers, and operations teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational standards.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6
- Build and manage Gantt charts, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and apply Critical Path Method (CPM) principles
- Coordinate contractor activities, labor schedules, and material deliveries across multiple concurrent projects
- Support Project Managers in planning and executing capital and overhaul projects
- Track project progress and update schedules to reflect completed and upcoming work
- Prepare and present monthly schedule status reports to leadership using integrated master schedules
- Monitor and report on work order status and readiness within the scheduling process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on timelines, risks, and deliverables
- Identify scheduling risks, delays, and improvement opportunities, including safety and performance enhancements
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard scheduling processes, tools, and documentation
- Support onboarding and training of project teams on scheduling best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of experience in project scheduling, construction coordination, or utility/energy projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project (required)
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 (preferred)
- Strong understanding of scheduling methodologies (WBS, CPM, resource planning)
- Experience managing multiple workstreams and coordinating with contractors/vendors
- Experience in energy, utilities, or industrial construction environments
- Familiarity with SAP or work order management systems
- Experience integrating cost tracking with project schedules
- Exposure to plant operations, maintenance, or overhaul projects
- Experience developing scheduling standards or playbooks
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage 80–100 concurrent workstreams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex schedules for diverse audiences
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and develop schedules from scope with minimal guidance
- Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Primarily office-based (approximately 95%)
- Occasional site visits to energy generation facilities (may include higher-risk environments)
