Job Summary: This position provides comprehensive financial oversight for a multi-year portfolio of transformational programs, ensuring disciplined financial management and governance across all workstreams. The successful candidate will consolidate budgets and forecasts, manage financial baselines and change controls, and lead month-end close activities while maintaining audit-ready documentation. This role requires producing leadership reports, conducting scenario and sensitivity analyses, overseeing vendor and contract financials, and aligning with corporate finance standards. By delivering actionable insights and maintaining robust controls, this position enables timely, evidence-based decisions that keep the portfolio on scope, on schedule, and on budget. The role involves leading a team of analysts while collaborating with program workstream leads, business and IT stakeholders, and cross-cutting partners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that shifts to meet stakeholder needs. Responsibilities:

- Oversee multiple delivery project teams to support on-schedule and on-budget delivery to approved scope
- Define and implement controls to effectively manage program activities and delivery expectations
- Contribute to portfolio budget performance against approved capital plan
- Consolidate budgets and forecasts across multiple workstreams and maintain financial baselines
- Manage financial change controls and funding decisions throughout the program lifecycle
- Lead month-end close activities and maintain audit-ready documentation for all portfolio activities
- Produce comprehensive financial reports for leadership forums highlighting budget versus actuals, run-rate, and benefits progress
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to support decision-making on scope, timing, and sourcing
- Oversee vendor and contract financials in coordination with Procurement
- Establish and enforce finance governance and internal controls across all workstreams
- Align financial processes with corporate finance and accounting standards
- Plan and monitor project progress to ensure milestones are being met
- Manage daily activities through the lifecycle of projects within the portfolio
- Manage resources across projects in the program
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues appropriately
- Coordinate projects and interdependencies between projects and workstreams
- Manage stakeholders involved in projects and programs
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of financial analysts, setting quality standards and ensuring continuous improvement
- Align deliverables across projects and programs Skills:
- Strong financial expertise in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and change control for large transformation programs
- Proven experience establishing finance governance and internal controls across multiple workstreams
- Experience with month-end close processes and maintaining audit-ready documentation
- Familiarity with ERP-led transformations and multi-vendor portfolio management
- Strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation
- Experience with accrual-based accounting
- Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Strong communication and influence skills with senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated people leadership capabilities, including coaching analysts and quality oversight
- Customer service focus with strong internal and external communication abilities
- Adaptability and comfort working in ambiguous environments with evolving requirements
- Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Proven vendor management experience including RFP process, SOW creation, and financial control
- Ability to aggressively drive vendors to meet date and budget commitments
- Drive to learn new skills with an open-minded and lifelong learner mentality Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience with large and complex projects
- Experience managing projects with budgets of $10M or greater
- 5 to 7 years of experience in finance with specific expertise in transformation programs
- Proven experience leading large-scale software implementations
- Proven experience leading multiple workstreams for requirements specification, design activities, implementation, testing, and deployment followed by stabilization
- Experience on projects with a large number of impacted users, at least 200 users, and overseeing associated change management
- Utility experience preferred
- Experience in regulated or asset-intensive environments preferred
- Experience with benefits tracking and value realization preferred
- Track record of simplifying and automating finance processes preferred
- Experience in transformational programs over $100M preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
