ZS's CCoE (Cloud Center of Excellence) Team builds, maintains and helps architect the systems enabling ZS client-facing software solutions. We define and implement best practices to ensure performant, resilient and secure cloud solutions. CLOUD ENGINEERING ARCHITECT
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Cloud Engineering Architect to lead cloud solutioning, architecture design, and client engagement for key digital transformation initiatives. This leadership role requires hands-on expertise in one or more major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), strong people management skills, and the ability to drive strategic client conversations, proposal development, and pre-sales solutioning.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and delivery of robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures across diverse enterprise environments.
- Partner with business development, sales, and delivery teams to shape go-to-market strategies and develop winning technical proposals and RFP responses.
- Own and drive executive-level client presentations, architecture reviews, and solution deep-dives to articulate value and differentiation.
- Manage and mentor a team of cloud architects and engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Align cloud strategies with business goals and ensure compliance with industry standards and security best practices.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and tools to inform platform strategies and architectural decisions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and thought leader across internal and external cloud forums.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in cloud architecture and engineering.
- Strong expertise in one or more public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Demonstrated experience leading cloud solutioning, pre-sales architecture, and technical proposal development.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and present complex ideas clearly to C-suite and technical audiences.
- Experience managing or mentoring cloud engineering or architecture teams.
- Hands-on proficiency with cloud-native services, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.), DevOps pipelines, and security frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience in multi-cloud strategy or hybrid cloud transformation programs.
- Background in consulting, digital transformation, or enterprise architecture roles.
- Familiarity with cost optimization, FinOps, and sustainability in cloud operations.
