Data Strategy Associate Consultant
ZS’s Data Strategy and Data Office practice has two core pillars: First, advising clients on all aspects of Data Strategy to harness the growing volume and complexity of data across industries. The team guides clients on operating models, governance, data sourcing and generation, data management, value creation, technology enablement, and compliance. In close collaboration with the Digital and Technology practice, we diagnose and roadmap data strategy journeys, and design, build, and operate strategic data capabilities. The second pillar focuses on building strong partnerships with diverse data providers to enable ZS’s access and innovative use of data to create differentiated offerings and services.
The Data Strategy Associate Consultant will be based in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and will contribute to delivering world-class solutions that develop and optimize data governance and operations, data sourcing strategies, process design, value creation, portfolio analytics, and more. This role offers high visibility within the firm and involves close collaboration with global Data Strategy teams across North America, Europe, and India, as well as cross-functional practices (e.g., Customer Insights, Marketing, Operations, Technology).
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding and expertise in global data landscapes across various industries (Including Life Science, Health Insurance and Hospitality)
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to define tailored data strategies addressing their unique needs
- Assist in defining capabilities, frameworks, processes, and tools to support broad data strategy initiatives
- Partner with project leads to deliver projects and support project management tasks such as planning, resource coordination, and risk mitigation
- Execute project tasks across different types of engagements, from strategy formulation to implementation
- Ensure seamless communication and coordination with global team members
- Manage client communications according to project responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including knowledge management, technologists, and business operations
- Mentor and coach junior team members as needed
- Help develop long-term Data Strategy assets and innovative data-driven offerings
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with strong academic performance in analytical and quantitative disciplines (e.g., Math, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics)
- 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably with consulting firms or in data-driven roles across multiple industries
- Familiarity with diverse types of data and their practical applications (e.g., customer data, transactional data, sensor/IoT data, financial data) is a plus
- Ability to translate complex, unstructured problems into actionable processes and strategic approaches
- Strategic thinker capable of supporting data standards and governance frameworks
- Self-starter with high motivation, maturity, and initiative
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Empathy, adaptability, and the ability to make a significant personal impact
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Fluency in English required
