HR Compliance and Risk Management Consultant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Risk and Compliance Consultant to join our team. This role will support the HR Compliance function by conducting risk assessments and internal audits, identifying gaps, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and best practices. The role will work closely with the Global Risk & Compliance team and external auditors to maintain a robust HR compliance framework.
What you'll do:
- Assist in planning and executing HR compliance internal audits, risk assessment reviews, and monitoring mitigation action plans.
- Conduct internal audits of HR processes, documentation, and systems to ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Global Risk & Compliance team to align HR audits with overall enterprise risk and compliance initiatives.
- Support external audits by preparing HR compliance documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
- Perform risk assessments related to HR processes, polices, systems and data, and create and monitor action plans to closure.
- Monitor corrective actions and remediation plans, ensuring timely closure of audit findings.
- Maintain accurate records of audit results, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
- Research and stay updated on applicable labor laws, regulations, and HR compliance standards.
- Provide recommendations to improve HR policies, processes, and controls.
- Support compliance-related training and awareness initiatives for HR and management teams.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Compliance, Risk Management, or related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in Global HR compliance and risk management.
- Additional certifications in SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), ISO 30414 (Human Capital Reporting) knowledge is strongly recommended
- Strong understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance frameworks is must.
- Strong understanding of HR Data Privacy and data control norms and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Prior proven experience in BCP planning, proficiency in any leading GRC platform (example ARCHER, etc) will be preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with HRIS or compliance tools is an advantage.
