What you'll do: QA Automation Engineer Intern in the Platforms and Products will…

Work side-by-side with our Full Stack Engineers to integrate quality into every stage of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Automated Testing: Design and develop automated test suites for web applications built with React.js and Node.js.
• API Validation: Build and maintain automated tests for RESTful APIs to ensure seamless frontend–backend interaction.
• Framework Development: Create scalable, maintainable test scripts using modern JavaScript-based testing frameworks.
• SDLC Integration: Participate across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring testability is considered during the design and requirements phases.
• Defect Management: Efficiently troubleshoot, debug, and document software issues, collaborating with developers to reach a resolution.
• Code Quality: Participate in code reviews for both application code and test scripts, providing constructive feedback on testability and edge cases.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of engineering processes, specifically focusing on CI/CD and automated quality gates.

What you’ll bring:

• Students persuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, currently in their third or final year.
• Technical Background: Hands-on experience in QA automation or software development (professional, internship, or project-based).
• JavaScript Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), as our entire stack and testing suite are JS-based.
• Modern Tooling: Practical experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Data Validation: Ability to work with and validate data across PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of core computer science concepts, including data structures.
• Collaboration: Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with product managers and developers in a fast-paced environment.
