About The Role

New Role – Permanent – Hybrid – North/ North Eastern UK Project

This is the time for action – we need to move at pace and reform our energy system – to deliver energy security, to tackle climate change and to protect our people.

Reporting into the Project Director, as Senior EPC Project Manager you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers/Lead Project Managers through the whole project life cycle. This will include identifying the correct funding stream, operational and environmental optioneering/option selection, development of early design strategies and being accountable for detailed design, contract award and production of construction delivery programmes.
You’ll manage up to 6 team members who’ll be part of delivering the only cross border Strategic Infrastructure project over English and Scottish borders. As such you’ll be sympathetc toward cross broader issues and ways of working.

About You

• A proven track record in building strong, enduring and effective relationships with key stakeholders e.g. Government, delivery partners
• Capability delivering large, complex infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of NEC contracts

What You'll Do

Crucially you’ll build, manage and great teams that focus on safety and project delivery to time and budget.
Facets of this will include leading tendering and integration process of project entering delivery, to provide expertise following the production of competent NEC Site and Works Information.
You’ll manage standard and routine third party issues, land, consents, grantors, public relations and Community stakeholders relationships to preserve National Grid reputation
Managing and co-ordinating contractors and project teams you’ll successfully deliver projects to time, cost and specification and with minimal disruption.

What You'll Get

A competitive salary between £68,000 – £75,000 – dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
