Due to the nature of our work you will be required to live in Bedfordshire or Hertfordshire.


You will become an electrical engineer in our West Anglia team (covering substations in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire), embarking on a path that involves gaining valuable site experience and completing essential core training. Your journey includes a mix of classroom-based and on-site training, which may require short periods away from home. Once you have acquired the necessary safety authorisations, you will advance to the role of an SAP (Senior Authorised Person). In this capacity, you will take the lead on a range of projects in high-voltage electricity substations. Your responsibilities will include supervising team members and ensuring the adherence to safe work practices. Sharing your expertise and knowledge, you will oversee the completion of maintenance, refurbishment, or replacement works on various equipment, including circuit breakers, transformers, and protection systems.


Your personal and professional growth is a top priority. You will work alongside a supportive team of experienced and skilled Engineers, who will guide you at every stage of your development and progression. Our ultimate aim is for you to advance to the role of a Commissioning Engineer and eventually an Advanced Commissioning Engineer.


Requirements:
A minimum qualification of Level 3 in Electrical Engineering. You’ll have experience of HV plant and equipment and a solid understanding of power systems theory. Our training programs will be tailored to match your level of experience. Substation experience is desirable but not obligatory. A UK driving license and the availability for standby rotations, including reactive callouts.

Pay and Benefits

• Salary range between £43,250 and £51,000 pa depending on experience or authorisations, £4,500 pa London Allowance + SAP payment of £5,000 pa on completion + excellent benefits, paid overtime, standby allowance, and a job requirement company car.
• A 37-hour work week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
• Enhanced holiday package - 26 days of leave plus 8 statutory days.
