About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lead Estimator and Senior Estimator to join our team on a Full Time, Permanent basis!

The differences between the roles are that we are open to training the Lead Estimator role whereas the Senior Estimator role will have the essential skills to hit the ground running!

We are looking for candidates who have numeracy and commercial experience, developing cost estimates within the Electrical Transmission industry sector that cover all areas of construction activities. Working closely with the wider strategic sourcing and contract management Procurement teams, you’ll pride yourself on producing accurate and high-quality cost estimates and support the development and writing of winning bidding and contract strategies.

What You'll Do

  • Experience managing and reporting cost within a broad range of industry sectors such as Energy, Aerospace, Construction Engineering, Commercial Construction, and Defence.
  • Organised, results orientated and able to communicate at all levels effectively.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and knowledge.
  • Generate Cost Estimates to the required class. This may cover all aspects of Construction activities, including Civil, Mechanical and E&I.
  • Support Procurement Contracting in the develop and writing of winning bidding and contracting strategies in support of the estimate development.
  • Accurate recording of Basis of Estimate, and preparation of Bid Approval Slides relating to the Construction Estimate.
  • Analysis, competitively assess & benchmark the bids & present to the execution team.

To provide technical and estimating guidance and support in developing the estimates.

About You

  • Knowledge of construction and installation techniques and their implications on cost
  • Experience Estimating / Quantity Surveyor within Regulated industry sectors.
  • Be results oriented and must be able to understand impact of decisions and changes on costs.

What You'll Get

A competitive salary between £50,000 - £68,000 dependent on skills and experience

Further Information

• The Lead Estimator and Senior Estimator roles are offered on a Permanent, Full-Time basis

• Location: We are also offering hybrid working in which we envisage you will spend once a month in the office (Warwick) and the remainder from home

We are willing to sponsor individuals to attain external accreditation via ICEAA route/ PCCA ( Professional Cost Estimator/Analyst ) or CCEA ( Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst) accreditation
