We are excited to announce an opportunity for an HR Operations Support Specialist within our dynamic People Function. This is your chance to support two dedicated managers and contribute to two key areas that drive our success!
We are also offering hybrid /flexible working where travel to the office will be as per business need. Base location for this role will be NG House, Warwick.
What You'll Do
Risk, Compliance & Assurance:
- Be a Key Player: Work within our three lines of defence model to help identify risks and compliance issues, ensuring our internal processes meet external obligations.
- Lead Compliance Reporting: Generate insightful reports for the People Leadership Team (PLT) and prepare discussion packs for risk sessions, analysing external risk materials and risk registers.
- Enhance Controls Assurance: Collaborate on the annual assurance plan, conduct testing of controls, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Strategic Business Planning & Performance Management:
- Drive Performance Management: Support the Performance Manager in complex data analysis, providing insights that guide our strategic, operational, and financial commitments.
- Coordinate Reporting: Help produce the People Function’s Quarterly Strategic Performance & Transformation Updates for the Group Executive, ensuring transparency in our progress towards our People Ambitions.
- Engage in External Reporting: Lead the production of the People component of National Grid’s Annual Report and liaise with key stakeholders to complete investor relation surveys.
About You
- Analytical Skills: Advanced Excel skills for complex data analysis and the ability to produce clear, concise reports and presentations are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey key messages effectively, with the ability to prepare presentations that are visually engaging and informative.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with various stakeholders, including senior management.
- Time and Project Management: Ability to manage own time and collaborate effectively with others to meet goals and deadlines.
- Assurance and Risk Experience: You should have some experience in assurance techniques and/or risk management.

What You'll Get
A competitive salary between £46,000 - £50,000 – dependent on capability
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
