Strategic infrastructure Is constructing Major projects across the whole of the UK and we are on the look out for experienced project managers ot join the team!
Grimsby – Walpole – This project is due to start construction around 2028/29 to construct around 140km of power lines and 6 new substations between Northeast Lincolnshire and Norfolk. Completion is planned for around 2033
For this Project we are seeking 1 new Project Manager and 1 new Associate Project Manager.
Both roles will utilise home working and project office/ site / supplier visits as needed therefore the ability to travel is key, with regular attendance to our Bimringham project office.

- Experience of project management or construction/ engineering – particularly for our Project Manager posts.

- Resilience, drive, and is good at prioritising and managing your own time, particularly when the unexpected crops up.
What you'll do
You will:
- Manage key sections of the SI project within the Project Management and Engineering team specifically supporting the development, design and build of the substations.
- Collaborate effectively with National Grid and partner colleagues including management duties where required.
- Ensure timely completion of programme activities to meet milestones.
- Implement robust risk management processes to identify and address risks and opportunities.
- Maintain project governance during changes.
- Achieve budget targets and deadlines for monthly, yearly, and completion phases.
- Deliver CapEx spend efficiently.
- Apply value engineering to reduce costs while adhering to project scope.
- Promote a safety-driven culture through the ‘Safe to Say’ policy.
- Conduct site visits and provide feedback to enhance safety practices.
- Ensure clear and accessible communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Uphold safety, health, environment, security, and quality obligations in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Lead teams to deliver on commitments while motivating members to achieve results.
- Foster collaboration with the supply chain, including contractors, suppliers, and local stakeholders.
- Create a trusting environment that values diverse opinions and encourages learning.
