You will provide critical insights into the impact of portfolio changes, support effective stakeholder engagement, and contribute to the delivery of NGET’s strategic objectives in a net-zero future.

What you'll do

  • Conduct scenario planning to minimise the impact of changes and ensure alignment with NGET’s strategic priorities.
  • Challenge proposed changes to the OHL portfolio, coordinating with stakeholders to prioritise work across all delivery functions.
  • Manage OHL governance processes and change control, ensuring all investments and modifications are justified, recorded, and within governance frameworks.
  • Provide portfolio performance reports to senior and executive leadership, highlighting key insights and trends.
  • Identify root causes of plan changes and implement continuous improvement practices across NGET functions.
  • Own the OHL change narrative for Ofgem during the regulatory period, ensuring clear and accurate reporting.
  • Forecast demand for key OHL resources, including staff, Senior Authorised Persons (S.A.P.), and contractors, to support strategic delivery.

About you

  • Proven programme management experience, with a strong track record in tactical and strategic planning.
  • Extensive experience in project governance, change control, and portfolio management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of operating across multiple delivery functions and engaging with Ofgem and other regulators.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in contract management and OFGEM reporting.
  • Knowledge of ET’s regulatory outcomes, RIIO mechanisms, and HV electrical project delivery is highly desirable.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and motivate diverse teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

What you'll get

A competitive salary between £65,000 - £75,000 – dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 30% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
