National Grid is hiring a SAP Solution Architect on a permanent basis. This position is based in our Warwick office. This role is designated as hybrid, with an expectation of 3-4 days per month in the office. Requirements may vary based on business needs and company policy.
What you'll do
As SAP Solution Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in driving large-scale business transformation projects, ensuring the alignment of IT strategy with business goals, and leading the design and implementation of innovative solutions. Key responsibilities include the following:
- Lead the architecture and technical delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategy.
- Develop and maintain architecture governance frameworks and processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and implement S4 HANA transformation projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Oversee data modelling, application integration, security architecture, and network architecture.
- Manage and mentor a team of architects and technical specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to execution and delivery.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, preferably in large-scale business transformation projects.
- Strong knowledge of SAP Products and Roadmap.
- Experience with data modelling, application integration, security architecture, or network architecture.
- Knowledge of architecture governance and key option analysis with exposure to stakeholder management.
- Experience with SAP cloud applications like SAP Datasphere, SAP BTP, ARIBA, SuccessFactors, etc.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
