About the role

Our Strategic Infrastructure (SI) business unit is at the forefront of one of the UK’s biggest energy transformations. We’re delivering 17 major infrastructure projects that will unlock 50GW of clean, sustainable electricity—powering the UK’s future and accelerating the journey to net zero.

At the heart of this ambition is our SI Onshore Programme Management Office (PMO). Within it, the Performance & Reporting team plays a critical role: turning data into intelligence, insight, and action that enables our project teams to deliver with confidence.

As a Performance Manager, you’ll help lead this team and guide a growing community of Performance Leads. You'll drive a consistent, high‑quality approach to performance management and ensure our Project Boards operate effectively. From shaping monthly reporting cycles to providing the insights that underpin strategic decisions, you’ll be central to how we monitor progress, anticipate risk, and continuously improve.

This is a role for someone who thrives on clarity, influence, and impact.

Within this role you will be expected to travel to multiple operational and delivery sites and locations throughout your working week based on project demands therefore having the flexibility for regular travel thorughout the UK is essential for this position.

About You

  • You'll have skills in providing high-quality performance analysis and assurance within a programme or PMO environment. Including experience in managing and leading teams ideally including of virtual/remote team networks.
  • Considerable experience of information management techniques and drawing conclusions from data to offer strategic recommendations in support of senior-level decision making.
  • Knowledge of programme controls functions (including schedule, cost, risk, reporting and change control) and integration of programme controls data from multiple delivery partners and workstreams.
  • An awareness of Earned Value Management reporting metrics and data production methods preferably supported by prior experience.
  • Demonstrable examples of exercising sound judgement and facilitating decision making on complex issues among multiple stakeholders.
  • A track record of using Power Bi or similar reporting tools to inform decision making and project tools to ensure delivery to time cost and quality.
  • Competent in the use of PowerPoint or similar and the production and implementation of presentations.
  • Experience of project delivery in a Construction/Utilities environment would also be beneficial.

What you'll do

Within this role you will:

  • Recruiting and allocating team members to delivery projects,
  • Fostering strong relationships with project teams
  • Implementing performance reporting deliverables such as Project Board performance packs and the Performance Measurement Update cycle.

The Performance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Performance Lead Team (circa 9 direct reports) and the wider stakeholder community. They will report to the Head of Data and Performance Management.

A competitive salary up to £76,000 – dependent on capability.
