About the role
National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) is at the heart of energy in the UK. The electricity we provide gets the nation to work, powers schools and brings energy to life. Our energy network connects the nation, so it is essential that it is continually evolving, advancing, and improving.

Working closely with engineering, risk and security teams, you’ll support cybersecurity assessments and audits across the OT estate, contribute to risk and vulnerability assessments, and help design and implement controls that protect our operational systems from cyber threats.
You’ll develop and maintain security specifications, procedures and incident response documentation, while supporting the creation of business cases for mitigation plans. You’ll also contribute to security training and awareness activities, ensuring colleagues understand evolving risks.
In this role, you’ll help deploy and manage network security technologies, enforce access controls, and monitor network activity to identify and respond to potential threats. Staying up to date with emerging OT cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities and technologies will be central to your success.
