National Grid is hiring a Document Controller - This role offers flexible hybrid working based in our North East region, with travel required depending on project needs.

Job Purpose

National Grid Electricity Transmission is seeking an experienced Document Controller to support capital projects across the full project lifecycle development, delivery, and closure. The role will work primarily with the Blyth Substation Capital Delivery Team, with additional support provided to other Electricity Transmission projects across the North-East where required.

This is a key information management role, ensuring that accurate, compliant, and controlled documentation underpins safe design, construction, commissioning, and handover.

About You

Essential

  • Relevant qualification(s) and/or relevant experience in Document controlling environment
  • Proven experience as a Document Controller supporting capital projects across multiple project phases and experience of working with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Proven planning and process management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong working knowledge of SharePoint and Autodesk Forma/Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, able to work with multiple stakeholders and contractors
  • Full Clean Driving License

Desirable:

  • Experience within Electricity Transmission, utilities, or regulated infrastructure environments
