As part of our Pentir to Trawsfynydd reinforcement programme, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing critical energy networks to life—moving from the final stages of development into construction from 2026.
From day one, you’ll be immersed in the full project lifecycle—supporting design development, overseeing construction, and guiding projects through delivery to successful commissioning. Once construction begins, you’ll take ownership of a dedicated site, becoming the key on-the-ground leader ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
As Project Supervisor, you’ll act as the vital link between contractors and the organisation, championing a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with all health and safety legislation, company standards, and contractual requirements. You’ll also formally fulfil the role of Project Supervisor under NEC contracts, bringing structure, accountability, and confidence to every phase of delivery.
Given the nature of this role, you will be required to be onsite, in North Wales, 5 days per week.
About You
- Project Management skills, including management of risk for delivery of projects to scope, time, cost, quality, safety and security of supply.
- A proven track record of supervising construction in electricity transmission or comparable industry
- An expert working knowledge CDM regs, Safety and Environmental legislation and practices, and quality management systems as supervisor under NEC contracts.
- Client Representative experience.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, open and collaborative.
What you'll do
Health, Safety & Compliance
• Supervise construction works to ensure they are completed safely and to the required quality standard, identify unsafe or non compliant activities and take immediate corrective action.
• Champion safety and promote a strong “Safe to Say” culture across site activities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations 2015.
• Review and accept contractors’ RAMS and carry out regular safety audits
• Work closely with the Senior Authorised Person to maintain site and safety from the system.
• Ensure incidents, near misses, and accidents are reported and investigated correctly.
Site Supervision & Delivery
• Monitor quality of workmanship and materials against approved documentation and standards
• Review contractor quality documentation including Quality Plans, ITPs, and test results
• Ensure construction activities align with the accepted programme and raise issues where non‑compliance is observed
• Maintain accurate site records, inspection logs, and photographic records
Commercial & Contractual Support
• Enact the role of Supervisor under NEC3/NEC4 contracts,
• Monitor and confirm that the Works are executed in accordance with the Scope, accepted designs, specifications, and contractual requirements
• Attend, witness, and record testing and inspections in line with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
• Identify, record, and notify Defects within the timescales set out in the contract
• Issue Defects Certificates and confirm correction of notified Defects where applicable
• Provide factual and timely reports to the Project Manager on site activities and compliance
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
• Act as a professional interface between the Employer, Project Manager, and Contractor
• Support effective communication and coordination across site stakeholders and third parties
• Contribute to early identification of issues through NEC mechanisms (e.g. Early Warnings), without managing contractor delivery actions
• Promote collaborative behaviours aligned with NEC principles while preserving contractual independence
What you'll get
A competitive salary between £47,000 - £55,000 – dependent on capability.
