About The Role
This is the time for action – we need to move at pace and reform our energy system – to deliver energy security, to tackle climate change and to protect our people.
As a Commercial Analyst you will work across a diverse range of offshore projects and assist the commercial team in preparing research, delivery documents and presenting compelling business cases to advance the Net Zero project portfolio.
You’ll be supporting the development of business cases by coordinating the various inputs across National Grid. You’ll get to support developing and in-flight projects and have real impact in shaping their delivery and what infrastructure we could facilitate to deliver Net Zero.
This role hybrid based and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.

What You'll Do
Accountabilities will include:
- Thinking strategically and applying your experience (preferably for energy infrastructure) of strategically framing options and developing strategic options and commercial strategy.
- Using your commercial and strategy experience you will closely collaborate with other stakeholders within National Grid to deliver the best outcomes.
- Support the offshore commercial teams with commercial strategy optioneering.
- Proactively engaging with other teams to find the answers you need.
- Scoping key questions and transforming them into an actionable work plan.
Further tasks will include:
• Create and maintain business reports
• Monitor key metrics against performance targets (suppliers/vendors)
• Support business cases on new opportunities and cross-functional projects to drive performance and improve operational efficiency.
• Input into supplier partner performance packs for our Commercial Team
• Work closely with commercial, engineering, finance, and project development teams to support the delivery of strategies and objectives.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
What You'll Get
A competitive salary between £50,000 – £60,000 – dependent on capability.
